On August 6, 1896, 56-year-old Frank Howard would leave his home at 1043 South Hill St. in Los Angeles, California. He told his family that he was going on a business trip to San Bernardino and the desert. He was last seen by a friend standing on a street corner waiting for a street car, He was not seen since.
