March 29, 1924 Gosport, England Baby Jane Doe

On March 29, 1924, an engine-room artificer of the Royal Navy was on duty at the Costal Motor-Boat Base at Haslar Creek in Gosport, England. He would spot a suspicious brown paper parcel on the foreshore near the pontoon. It was a few feet above the tide line which was at the time dead low.

He would go and get the parcel and unwrap it. Inside was the body of a newborn baby girl. It was found that the child was born alive and had lived for at least a few minutes before dying from exposure and want of attention at birth. She had been dead for more than 3 days.

Murder of Susan Cadieux

At 7:15 p.m. on January 6, 1956, 5-year-old Susan Cadieux was plating in the schoolyard of St. Mary's School at 345 Lyle St. in London, Ontario, Canda. She was playing with her older brothers and wasn't that far away from home at the school.

Around 7:45 p.m. a man approached the kids and focused on Susan. He spoke with her and in return, she told the other children that the man was going to give her something. He told them that he was supposed to meet with the St. Mary's church priest at 9 and stated he lived on York St. while pointing towards King St. The other kids got distracted by a nearby fall on the ice and this was when Susan walked away with the man.

By 8 p.m. her brothers panicked when they saw Susan gone. They rushed home to tell their parents about the man and she was gone. The search began. By 9:30 the London Police were involved and by 1:30 a.m. 300 people were searching for the girl.
At 10:08 a.m. Susan's body was found at the rear of Roy James Construction located at 609 William St. alongside the CPR spur line. This was around 6 miles north of where she was last seen. She had been sexually assaulted and died from exposure less than 3 hours before she was found. It was so cold out her tears were frozen to her face. It's believed the man assaulted her and left her in the yard.

The man was described as being a man between 30 and 40 years old. He was tall, thin and unshaven. He was wearing a light brown overcoat that was unbuttoned, a pair of unbuckled black galoshes that flapped openly and a dark Russian style or army Melton hat with ear flaps.

Murder of Shelley Connolly *Update*

On Jan. 7, 1978 16-year-old Shelley Connolly went to an Anchorage bar called Chilkoot Charlie's. At some point during the night, she was seen with several men at the bar. At least one person reported seeing her at Leroy's a diner on C street. A reliable timeline is hard to determine.

Sometime during the night Shelley was raped and beaten. At some point, she was pushed out of a moving car. Her hand had gotten stuck in the door though and she was dragged by the car. It's believed that once they noticed she was being dragged they opened the door and threw her over the side of a hill to the railroad tracks 10 miles south of Potter Marsh at McHugh Creek at milepost 109 of the Seward Highway.

There was evidence that Shelley was still alive afterward. In the snow, you could tell that she tried to climb up the hill. She had died from a ruptured spleen and exposure. The next morning two female hitchhikers found her body.

The four men Shelley was talking to at the bar are possible suspects. The police are also looking for a man who went by "Pinkie" who may have lived in the Kenai area.

UPDATE:
On August 30, 2019, 62-year-old Donald F. McQuade has been arrested for her murder. He is charged with both first and second-degree murder. They found a DNA Match by going through genetic genealogy.
