The Cross-Legged Angel Artists is the notname of an American fraktur artist. The name is derived from the repeated use of an Angel with crossed legs as a decorative element in their works. Other elements in the paintings include birds that sit upon the shoulder of the figures. This artist created a number of birth and baptismal certificates between 1790 to 1815 in northeastern Lancaster County and Berks County in Pennsylvania. Their handwriting on the documents was poor, but some were printed before being completed.
Work by the Cross-Legged Angel Artist may be found in the collections of the Reading Public Museum and Franklin and Marshall College.

The Master of the 1540s is a Southern Netherlandish painter who was active in Antwerp (in Belgium). He has around 30 portraits accredited to him between 1541 and 1551. His art displays considerable talent and cultivation and it's believed he was a follower of Joos Van Cleve. This coincides with Joos Van Cleve's death in 1540 and the first known portrait of this master being in 1541. His clientele appeared to have been more modest than those patronized by Antonis Mor and Wiliam Key.
