Murder of Carlton Mosley




On September 3, 2000, Carlton Mosley was in a vehicle in the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Bakersville, California, Carlton was struck by gunfire and died from a shot to the back of the head.

Murder of Donovan Bailey




Around 11:38 on April 17, 2013, 29-year-old Donovan Bailey was dropping off friends at the rear of East 13th St in Reserve, Louisiana. The van would be fired upon hitting him in the chest and killing him. 

In 2014 someone was arrested for the murder, but they weren't charged.

Murder of Janaija Johnson


Around 4:50 am on April 7, 2020, 16-year-old Janaija Johnson was shot in her car near 6th St and Van Buren St in the Quaker Hill neighborhood in Wilmington, Delaware. She was found alive, but would soon pass at the hospital.

Murder of MarRico Gafford Sr




Around 9:50 pm on January 8, 2002, 24-year-old MarRico Gafford Sr. was sitting in the front seat of a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice in the area of 33rd and Larimore Street in Omaha Nebraska. The passenger side door was open and it's believed he was shot from there. When police arrived MarRico was still alive and was transferred to the hospital. He would unfortunately die soon after.

Murder of Maynard "Manny" Francis Grossbach



On November 30, 1970, the body of Maynard "Manny Grossbach was found in his white 1969 Ford van parked in front of 844 Jefferson Street in Eugene, Oregon. He had been shot in the back between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. His wallet and receipts were missing. At the time he was the owner of two Eugene bar and grill establishments.

Murder of William Henry Hill III


At 6:54 pm on August 27, 2019, police responded to the area of Mt. Vernon Ave and N 17th Ave in Columbus, Ohio. When they arrived they found 27-year-old William Hill III suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. William would be taken to the hospital, but would, unfortunately, pass over an hour later.

Murder of Jeffery C. Little


Around 10 p.m. on July 28, 2009 gunfire was heard in the 3100 block of Massey Rd in Bellingham, Washington. When police arrived 34-year-old Jeffery Little was found dead in the front seat of his pickup truck. The truck was running but stalled on the south side of the road. Out of 11 shots, 3 struck Jeffrey killing him. At the time a witness observed a dark-colored SUV traveling westbound right after the gunfire. It's unknown if the vehicle was involved in the crime or if they witnessed it. 

At the time Jeffery had recently returned to his home in Everson. He had suffered a knee injury in Alaska where he was working as a commercial fisherman.

Murder of Myrtle Jackson

On July 16, 1977, A Volkswagon was found running on 15 Spruce St. in Greenville, South Carolina. Inside was 27-year-old Myrtle Jackson. She was slumped over in the driver's seat dead from a gunshot wound to the head. 

At the time Myrtle also used the last name Grant or went by Mrs. Kenneth Grant.

Murder of Theron “Boukie” Woodard




On May 12, 2019, 26-year-old Theron “Boukie” Woodard was with friends in Fairfield County, South Carolina. They had left Insomnia Night Club and traveled on Columbia Mall Blvd. on the way to Summit. As they approached the Theater at Columbia Mall a dark-colored vehicle pulled up beside them and began shooting. Theron who was in the passenger seat was shot and killed.

Murder of John Edward Harris


On the morning of March 21, 1998, 55-year-old John Harris was working. He was a cab driver for the Vegas Western Cab Company in Las Vegas, Nevada. Apoxitmatly 2:58 a.m. he went to pick up a fair at Arizona Charlie's Casino at 740 South Decatur Blvd. According to the trip sheet, he drove the fare to Fountains at the Smoke Ranch apartment complex on Rock Springs Dr. It's unknown what happened after this.

At 6:47 a.m. John's cab was found running in the parking lot of the Sahara Palms Apartments. Inside was John's body as he had been shot to death. There were signs of a struggle and he had been robbed.

Murder of Orenthal Smith




At 12:10 p.m. on March 22, 2005, the body of 30-year-old Orenthal Smith was found at 290 N.W. and 165 St. at the east parking lot of the Citicenter Office Building in Miami, Florida. He was found inside the trunk of the 2005 Black Kia Amanti his girlfriend rented for him. He had gone missing on March 11th. 

Orenthal was on Federal Probation at the time for an Armed Robbery. He had failed to report to the court on March 15th for a Probation Violation hearing for allegedly being involved in street violence in Miami-Dade County.

Murder of William "Dee Jay" Waymon Banks III






At about 5 p.m. on February 8, 2017, 29-year-old Wilford "Dee Jay" Banks III was in a maroon Kia Optima on 4512 W 25th St. in Little Rock, Arkansas. A grey Toyota Camry would pull up and someone in the vehicle would begin to shoot at him. The Camry would then be last seen traveling east on West 25th St. Wilford would pass from his injuries.

Murder of Wilma Cheek

 


Around 11:15 a.m. on October 30, 1995, 48-year-old Wilma Cheek's 1989 grey Pontiac Grand Prix was observed in the rear of Willow Grove Cemetery in Fountain City, Indiana. A short time later the caretaker took a closer look at the vehicle to see Wilma slumped over in the driver's seat. She had been shot to death within the hour of being discovered. She was last seen that morning at 7:30 a.m.

Murder of Joshua Seales

 

On September 17, 2001, 18-year-old Joshua Seales would use his girlfriend's car. He went to his bank in Palestine, Texas, and made a small withdrawal with another man. He would then buy a large amount of food at a local restaurant. 

The next morning the car he was using was found on fire on Country Rd3490 in Rural Anderson County. Inside the trunk was Joshua's body. It's not stated how he died or if he was alive when the car was set on fire. The killers used a flammable liquid to set the car on fire from a distance. 

A witness stated that they believe that they saw Joshua with men and another vehicle near where he was found. The witness stated that he may have been arguing with them.

It's unknown who the black man he was at the bank with was. He was described as well-mannered.  It was unknown if he was a friend or someone related to his death. The men seen with him on the side of the road have also never been identified.

Murder of John Leonard


On September 8, 1970, 52-year-old John Leanard was working in his taxi. A call for a pick-up at the Buck Hill Inn in Barrett Township, Pennsylvania. Around 2:30 p.m. he would then park near the entrance and wait in his car. A man would be seen near his vehicle. 

When Donald Mick, the owner of the taxi service, could not get in contact with John it worried him. It was unlike John to not responding. He would then go to where his last pickup was and found the taxi still there. Unfortunately inside was the body of John, someone had shot him 4 times in the head. The motive for the murder is unknown as he was not robbed and still had his wallet.  

In 1973 his widow Madeline told her teenage children she was going to check on a lead to their father's murder. She did not return home as she had died in a car crash into the woods along Route 940 in Paradise Township. The crash was ruled an accident. 


The man seen near the vehicle was a white male between 25 to 35-years-old. He had a tanned complexion. It is believed he was around 5'10" and 190lbs with a medium build.  He was wearing horn-rimmed glasses and a bright blue sport coat. He seemed to have been carrying a heavy paper bag in his left hand.

Murder of Ralph Balfoort

On August 28, 1966, 54-year-old Ralph Balfoort wrecked his vehicle at the Morningside Reservoir in Syracuse, New York which caused the vehicle to catch fire. When the fire department arrived they found his body inside with his foot still on the pedal. He however did not die from the crash, but from being shot in the head four times. 

He had fled as he was shot twice in the left cheek and twice behind the left ear. It was believed the killer trapped Ralph on the Reservoir and shot him as he fled in his car. three shots were at close range and one was not. The reservoir was searched for the gun, but it was not found.

A Teenage girl saw a man in a 1960 or 1961 black Falcon just before the murder. She stated that the car was dirty with a broken muffler. The man (composite below) was a white male around 40-years-old and was heavyset with a receding hairline. This information is from an older newspaper I don't know if the police had spoken to this man.

Murder of Jose M. "Tatu" Gonzalez



Near 3 a.m. on August 8, 2014,  45-year-old Jose "Tatu" Gonzalez's vehicle, a pear white Ford Explorer pick-up, was found crashed on the I-91 North on-ramp in the North End of Springfield, Massachusetts. He had been shot and killed about 20 minutes before. 

A video containing a 2001-2007 Nissan Pathfinder was released. Police are looking for the occupants of the vehicle for information they may have on the crime.

Murder of Jarail "Rail" D. Jackson

On July 25, 2010, at 1040 p.m. 18-year-old Jarail "Rail" Jackson was found in a vehicle on 1524 Bellevue Ave. in Syracuse, New York. He had been shot. He was found alive but would die from his wounds the enxt day.

Murder of Kenneth Michael Leefe

 


Around 11:30 p.m. on June 24, 2010, 55-year-old Kenneth Leefe was leaving work at the Bojangles restaurant located on Highway 70 in La Grange west of Kinston, North Carolina. While in the car a 2000-2003 dark-colored Mazda 626 pulled up and occupant shot and killed Kenneth. The drive would then go down Willie Measley Rd. He was shot with a small-caliber bullet. 

The next day would have been his 56th birthday. 

Kenneth's wife suspects that the killer was someone he worked with. At the time he would travel around to store to store and it was unknown when he'd leave a store.

Murder of Aneesha Anderson

On Feb. 27, 1997, 42-year-old Aneesha Anderson was found dead in her camper at Leonard's Tow Lot on 2104 N/ Willis Blvd. in Portland Oregon. She had been dead for several weeks. Her family had reported her missing on Jan. 9th.

She was originally from Venice, California, and reported to have been a user of cocaine and possibly engaged in prostitution.
