Disappearance of Ian Richardson

On April 30, 1992, 16-year-old Ian Richardson disappeared from Denver Colorado. He lived in the northern section of the city and frequented the Idaho Springs area. Foul play is suspected in this case.

John Taylor is a prime suspect in Ian's disappearance as he was sexually abusing him since he was 13 until he disappeared. In 1991 Ian told police that John Taylor had sexually abused him in 1989 during a camping trip and again in 1990. John was then charged with child sexual abuse and harboring a runaway. These charges were dismissed after Ian recanted his story.

In 1992 Ian accused John again, but this time of circumcising him while he was passed out drunk. John refuted stating that Ian had done it to himself. Ian would tell a counselor that he was being threatened and that if he testified he or his family would be harmed. He would then allegedly punch John in the face later. This would cause Ian to be charged with assault in juvenile court. He would disappear soon after.

John Taylor would admit that he had in fact sexually abused Ian. He claimed that Ian had killed himself. In 2002 however, a friend of his went to the police to tell them that John had in fact shot Ian and then chemically cremated him. John is a chemist and had the knowledge to do so. He claims that he's being framed for Ian's disappearance.

Ian is a white male and was 16-years-old at the time. Ian was 5'10" and 150 lbs. He had brown hair and brown eyes.

The Visitor of Caroline Christine Walter

Caroline Christine Walter was born in 1850  to a poor family in Germany. A tragedy hit the family as her parents haddied. Caroline and her affectionate sister, Selma, would go to live with their grandparents in Freiburg. Caroline would grow up to become a beautiful young lady and was loved by many who knew her.

At 16/17 the young lady would contract tuberculosis and would then pass away in just a few weeks. Her sister would have her buried at the Alter Friedhof Freiburg im Breisgau. Her sister had a life-size tomb statue of her sister falling asleep reading. The book's inscription is "It is surely God’s will to separate from what is dearest to you."

After a few weeks, Selma would notice that someone else had started leaving flowers at the grave. It didn't seem that anything stopped the visitor from leaving a flower. Caroline was a beauty and had many suitors it's unknown if she had someone she was seeing. Some think that she and a particular teacher were seeing each other. Some think that it was someone who loved her but regretted never telling her.

For the next 150 years, someone left flowers on her grave. Unless the original visitor is some sort of immortal person others have taken over this tradition. It's unknown who these people are or why the visits continue.

"Charlie" of Aberystwyth Castle

Mosaic at the Castle about the discovery of the skeleton

Aberystwyth Castle was built between 1277 to 1289. The castle that is now in ruins is the third built of it before it was destroyed in 1649 during the English Civil Wars. It was slighted by Oliver Cromwell making it into ruins. This was to prevent it from being a fortress again. The locals likely took advantage and pilfered the castle walls.

Over 200 years later in 1988, an excavation was done at the castle. Surprisingly enough the body of a man. The soil in the area was acidic enough that typically destructive to organic matter. Because the castle was destroyed though it added lime to the soil helping keep the skeleton from being destroyed. It was hard to place when the man had died, but it was believed that he died during the Parliamentarian siege of Aberystwyth Castle.

The skeleton was given the name Charlie and he can be found at the Ceredigion Museum
