Murder of Sally Swisher Heet

At 8:30 p.m. on April 16, 1986, 35-year-old Sally Heet left the Senate Office building in Washington D.C. where she worked as an aide for Senator Daniel Evans. She was supposed to go to a meeting the next morning but never arrived. Her brother and another person went to check up on her. Inside of her apartment, Sally's body was found.

She was found nude in the living room. Someone had stabbed her to death it was not stated whether or not she had been sexually assaulted. Neighbors didn't state that they heard anything from her apartment. There were no signs of a struggle inside the apartment. Her mailbox in the lobby was swung open with her mail still inside.
