Lost Media: First music video for Alarm Call by Björk

Icelandic singer Björk released the song Alarm Call on her third album  Homogenic in 1997. It was the fourth single for the album and was ranked number 33 in the UK. This song will have two official music videos of which the first was never released.

The first music video for the song was directed by Paul White from Me Company. It was the same firm that produced the artwork for the Album and their respective singles. The music video is said to have featured Björk in a similar outfit to the one featured on the album cover. There was also said to be a dance scene in the Los Angeles subway system.

Björk was not satisfied with this music video. The second video was directed by fashion designer Alexander McQueen and was filmed in London in October 1998 in two days. Björk was satisfied with this version even stating on MTV News that the music video industry needed a "spank on the bum", and Alexander McQueen was the one to do the music video

No clips, scenes, storyboards, or such have been seen by the public from the first music. Björk also has not mentioned much from the music video. It can be assumed that the music video may not exist anymore.

La Berta

Sailko

In Florence, Italy at the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore there is a strange feature named "La Berta". La Berta is a figure of a woman's head and stands out of place on the side of the church. There isn't much information on La Berta, but she's been there since medieval times. It's unsure why she was placed there, but there are theories or tales on how and why she's there.

The most common lore is that the La Berta was petrified on September 16, 1327, and was cursed by Cecco d’Ascoli, an astrologer. His execution was a spectacle as people in groups were watching his procession. Some were watching from windows and balconies. On this day Cecco d'Ascoli was on his way to being executed and burned at the stake for heresy. In the procession, they would go through Via dei Cerretani, and he stopped to ask for some water.

Berta was standing in the church window and told everyone to deny him water. She claimed he was an alchemist communicating with the Devil using water. That the devil would try to grant him immunity to his crimes and would be saved. During his execution he stared at the woman and cursed at her in Anger "You will never lift your head from there" The woman would petrify there.

Another and more logical theory is that the head is a memorial to a benefactor who had donated a bell to the church. The woman who donated was a greengrocer who had a fruit stall there. She did this so that the bell was used to chime whenever the city gates opened and closed. This may explain why she's positioned on the bell tower wall.

It's also theorized that she is actually was a Roman sculpture that was used as decoration.

Lost Comics: The Bottle

In 1978 famed mangaka Hirohiko Araki, who is known for his series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure created a one-shot called The Bottle. Before he created JoJo's Bizarre Adventure his first job was The Bottle. It featured a character dressed in an old Western-style outfit. It was a crude-looking character for the time. The work was intended to compete for the 14th Tezuka Award in the first issue of the magazine, Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1978. However, as it did not win the award, and its content was never shown to the public.

Only one picture remains to the public of this comic of said character in the old west clothes. It's possible the story could have been set in the Wild West and featured cowboys. Araki had made several one-shots and characters that were Wild West-themed or cowboys themselves. However, this manga, its characters, and the overall premise of the story are unknown other than its title The Bottle.

It's unknown if anything from this one-shot remains. It's unknown if Hirohiko Araki owns it himself, or if the company who owns Weekly Shōnen Jump does. For all we know there may be nothing left but the one picture from this manga.

Lost Music Video: The first music video for Anytime You Need a Friend by Mariah Carey

On May 24, 1994, American singer and songwriter Mariah Carey released her third studio album Music Box. The song Anytime You Need a Friend was the fifth and final single from the album. The gospel-infused song would then release a music video featuring for the first time Mariah Carey with straight hair instead of her signature curly. This music video was however not what was originally supposed to be released.

The first music video was never released and was scrapped. It's unknown publicly why this music was scrapped. It doesn't show any semblance to what was released and possibly not the look they wanted for it. ET released some behind the scenes from music videos. These are what looks like Mariah in a long gown with a castle theme. While the final music video was based in a city.

At least 24 incidents of unknown person or persons would crap where they should not and it was usually on the floor. It happened in both men's and women's bathrooms, even once in a classroom. The gifts the Campus Crapper would leave were usually in the stalls right in front of the toilets. It seemed as if they changed location often leading them to never be caught

Lucky 7 Pirated TV station

Made in Bing Creator

On April 14, 1978, The Lucky Seven Channel first broadcasted in Syracuse, New York. It's believed that it was the first pirated TV station in the United States. It would broadcast on the unused channel 7 for only 3 nights. It was said to have been well-done and even a logo for the station was good. It was a dice rolled to a seven and a jingle was also recorded with an all-female chorus.

It played in various films and TV shows. Some examples were Rocky, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Star Trek, Twilight Zone, and the porno Deep Throat. Between the films, a man would wear a gas mask with a noose around his neck would editorialize. Production is said to have been surprisingly well done, with even a logo for the station being a die that rolled to a seven. A jingle was also recorded, featuring what sounded like an all-female chorus.

It's unknown who did this, but it was suspected that it was some students at Syracuse University. It seemed that the signal was strongest in the surrounding neighborhood. This pirated channel was reported in the news at the time. However, there are no known recordings of this at this time.

Hair Bundle Mystery

In early March 2019, mysterious bundles of hair started showing up in Santa Barbra, California. They had been found mainly in center divider areas on Carrillo Hill, Meigs Rd, Cliff Dr, and even the Mesa Shopping area. It's said that some people witnessed the bundles being thrown out of cars.

The bundles were in braids and were dark brown. They were similar to horse hair but less coarse and almost like human hair, but not. (I wonder if they were some sort of hair for extensions)

Why were these bundles of hair left sitting around? No one knows, but many would say that it was creepy nonetheless.

Disappearing Cabin in Arcata Community Forest

In July of 2015, Mark Andre was marking trees in one of Arcata Community Forest's remote sections. He was surprised to happen upon a cabin. It was perfectly concealed until you got around 12 ft close to it. It was in a perfect out-of-the-way spot. there were no trails or even foot trails that led to it.

It wasn't trashy, but a proper makeshift home. It did not feature any destruction to the environment like many other makeshift shacks found in the area. It was around 12 ft high with a concrete block foundation, with a stout frame, peaked roof, multiple windows, walls of plywood, and even featured a porch with an awning. The outside was covered with brown tarps, black plastic sheeting, and vegetation and brush disguising it.

Inside there were books, curtains, and a wood stove. It was obvious it was not a weekend project. It was strange that there was no evidence of how the woodstove would have gotten in there let alone gotten there through the dense forest. There was a to-do list found. The earliest date was in January of 2011 meaning for at least 4 years the cabin laid unfound.

An eviction notice would be placed on the shack as it was illegal for them to be there. The shack would have to be taken down and the items inside would have been kept for when the person would come to get them. However when they went back to the shack it was already all cleaned up.

A couple weeks later they visited the shack and it was noticeable they were removing their things. When they came back a couple weeks after that the shack was gone and the area was cleaned up with the squatters symbol left with charcoal.

It's unknown who had built the shack.

Devils Trampling Ground

The Devil's Tramping Ground is a place that holds a mystery and a legend. It lies in a forest near the Harper's Crossroads area in Bear Creek, North Carolina two paths lead to what seems like a perfect circle where nothing grows. If anything is placed in the circle it is moved the next day. It's unknown who gave it its name.

One Legend says that the Devil walks up one path leading to the circle and tramps around and around thinking of evil thoughts and plotting for evil.

A Second legend is that before the white man came the Native Americans would meet for feasts here and would do celebrations and war dances there. This caused the ground to not grow anything.

A third legend is that two conflicting Native American tribes had a battle there. It's said the one Chief Croatan was killed and buried there. Its said that the great spirits keep mourning their fallen leader

However, a scientific explanation is that the soil had been tested before and held high salt content. This could lead to nothing growing there even though people have tried before.

Urban Legends: The Grooms Revenge

It was a beautiful day. The church was full of family and friends and the bride and groom seemed to be in love with the others. However, the Groom was going to make this wonderful day a brutal one for the Bride and Best Man. During the Vows, the groom would look out to the crowd of loved ones with a smile.

He seemingly would compliment his best man and bride and would ask everyone to take out the envelopes under their chairs. Everyone did so and inside were some shocking photos. The bride and best man were having sex. The groom would tell everyone he suspected her of being unfaithful, but not that his best friend would betray him. It broke his heart and with the wedding being soon he decided it would be the best place to break her heart and cut off the friend. The Bride would flee the church crying and the best man would follow her.

Sometimes in this tale, it's the opposite being the Groom and Maid of Honor cheating instead and the Bride taking revenge. This tale is said to have started in 1985. Sometimes he sticks the ex-brides family with the bill for the wedding and sometimes she sues him.
