February 19, 1979 Los Angeles, California John Doe

On February 19, 1979, a man's skull was found at Griffith Park in Los Angeles, California. He may have died between 1978 to 1979. 

John Doe was a white man and was around 18 to 35 years old.

November 9, 2019 Battle Creek, Nebraska Doe

On November 9, 2019, a family was walking along the Elkhorn River in Battle Creek, Nebraska. They would find a skull on the edge of the water partially covered in sand. Other bone fragments were found in the area, but it was unknown if it was human or not. This area had been in the middle of the river channel until recently when the area flooded and the river changed course.

It's stated the skull belonged to an adolescent (10-19).

 On October 27, 2020 partial skeletal remains were found in shallow water at the Elizabeth Marina in Elizabeth, New Jersey. 

John Doe is a male is between 40 to 99-years-old. He was between 5'7" and 6'4".

 On September 30, 1973 in a natural park area in Fairfax County, Virginia the lower limbs of a man were found. He had died sometime that year.

John Doe was a white male between 25 to 40-years-old. He was 5'8" to 5'11".

September 23, 2013 Sterling Heights, Michigan John Doe

On September 23, 2013, workers repaired the sewer system in Sterling Heights, Michigan. They would find human remains on a grate in the sewer line located along 15 Mile Road east of Maple Lane, inside the Edison Corridor. The remains, which are of a Caucasian, were discovered while the workers were making repairs to the sewer system. A news article at the time stated that it was possible that it was improperly disposed medical waste. 

John Doe was a White man. He had brown hair.

On September 20, 2009, a bone was found on the beach at New Hampshire Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Jane Doe was a female between 12 to 23-years-old.

On September 2, 2005, a left humerus bone was found suspended in bushes in front of an apartment building on East Armour in Kansas City, Missouri.

The bone belonged to an Adult man. He was likely the person was between 5'8" to 6'0".

In August of 1978, a partial right maxilla was found in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. It was not brought to the police until July 7, 2014

Gender and race is unknown, but it's believed that hey were between 25 to 60-years-old.

July 25, 1971 Detroit Michigan John Doe (fingers)

On July 25, 1971, three left fingers from a black male were found in Detroit Michigan. The middle finger displayed a class ring marked with "1968" and the initial "PB". The stone from the ring was missing.

If the ring belonged to the person whose finger it was found on would mean that John Doe was likely in his early 20s or late teens. It would also mean that his initials were likely PB. It's not stated what school they believed the ring was from.

A cranium would be found in a wooded area of unincorporated Bonner County, Idaho. It's believed that the man died between 1 to 14 years.

1983 Yelm, Washington John Doe



In Yelm, Washington a homeowner reports she found a cranium 23 years prior to reporting it. The cranium was found on property previously accessed by a logging road in 1983. The cranium belonged to a man that likely died between 1973 to 1982.
 
John Doe was an Asian male between 20 to 50-years-old.

Vilas County, Wisconsin Doe

A partially damaged skull of a teenager was found in the archives and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The only identifying label was Vilas County SP 10278 and it's believed that the skull was given to the university around the mid-20th century. 

The skull is of unknown gender and race but is believed to belong to someone between 12 to 15-years-old.

May 14, 1992 St. Louis, Missouri Child Doe

On May 14, 1992 the skull of a child was confiscated from a storage locker from someone who lived in St. Louis, Missouri. The person who had the skull claimed to have bought it from a flea market or Antique shop. They believed it was a historical native American skull. It's not stated how long they believed the child had been dead. 

The skull belonged to a white child between 7 to 10-years-old.

December 29, 1985 Tuscon, Arizona Jane Doe



On December 29, 1985, the partial cranium of an adult woman was recovered from a residential yard. There were obvious signs of animal depredation on it. The previous tenant of the home reportedly left the cranium in the residence. When he vacated he told the new tenant that it was from a teaching specimen. Analysis however reveals that it's possible to have been a Trophy Skull from an unknown origin. the earliest that the woman may have died was the 1930s.

On December 13, 1975, a partial mandible with one tooth that has no restorations was found in sand along the beach in Stratford, Connecticut. She was a female between 20 to 60-years-old.

 Possibly in or around 1980, a skull was found in an outbuilding of a family farm in Portal, North  Dakota. The skull was handed over to the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office in 2016.

The skull was claimed to have been found in Calico, California sometime in 1947. The person who found it kept it and after their death, the skull was turned over to Bureau of Land Management by a friend. Skull belongs to a young woman between 15 and 25-years-old.
