Who Poisoned The Titanic Movie Crew?

Image result for Titanic movie poster

On what was supposed to be the last day of filming in Nova Scotia for the 1997 movie Titanic a mysterious surprise happened. The film was supposed to wrap up the present-day scenes and then they were supposed to move on to Mexico to film. On the night of August 8, 1996, in Shearwater, Nova Scotia. It was just across from Halifax Bay. The crew decided to take a "lunch" break at midnight. A local catering company provided the food and one of the items was chowder.

Within 15 minutes of eating many of the crew began feeling strange and sick. James Cameron described becoming woozy and dizzy and unable to navigate his set. 60 to 80 crew members were sent to the hospital. It was initially believed to have been food poisoning. This was not the case as when the members went to the hospital it was found that the lobster chowder had been spiked with
PCP.

The person who decided to poison the crew and get them high on PCP is still unknown even over 20 years later. It could have been a disgruntle employee of James Cameron or someone with the food company (though they denied involvement). No one has been pinned for the crime.

Murder of Steven Weltig

On April 22, 1993 40 year old Steven Weltig was having a conversation with his friend about a store hold up. Steven owned Ajax Liquor in Arnold, Missouri and was afraid that someone may just as easily rob his own store. His friend even said that Steven mentioned that "Somebody could come in here, shoot me and never get caught." The two also talked about when he would open, and close and when he would take the money to the bank.

While the two spoke about this stuff in Steven's store someone was browsing and may have over heard the conversation. The man was described as having a potbelly, balding black hair, and in his 40's.

On the morning of Friday April 23, 1993 Steven started his day as usual. At 8:15 he made a deposit at the bank. At 8:32 he bout beer in Illinois. At 9:30 he was last seen walking his elderly dog and had briefly talked to someone while doing so.

At 10 a.m. Steven was found dead. He had been executed with his own gun. It was found that he was kneeling when he was shot. The fake security camera he'd used in the store was unplugged. The store wasn't robbed, but robbery may have been motive.

It was noted that the liquor store was failing, and he'd resorted to some unsavory ways to keep afloat. He had began to sell drugs. Which opened more possibilities to the motive of the crime.

Murder of Shirley Jane Rose

On Friday October 17, 1975 in Springfield, Missouri 9 year old Shirley Jane Rose walked home from her Grandparents home on S West St. to her home on Scenic between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. A path that she had taken many times without any problems. But when the 9 year old never made it home her family got worried. Her mother then called the Springfield police and there was an intense search for the young girl by police, citizens, family, and friends.

Witnesses reported that they saw her speaking with a man in a blue 1969/1970 Chevy or a 72 Ford Torino. Neither were confirmed.Later she was supposedly reported on the same street, but the car was not there.

On Saturday December 13, 1975 two months after Shirley disappeared two men looking for beaver dams a mile below McDaniel Lake found a shallow grave. Inside was the body of Shirley Jane Rose. She had been strangled to death, the shirt used to strangle her was still tied around her neck.

In 1982 Judge Clough revealed some information he had acquired about the case he had gotten from a client when he was an attorney. He could not reveal who it was, but hopes they would come forward. His client had told him he had kidnapped the girl in hopes of trading her for drugs or drug money. The search for the girl came too soon and intense it caused him to panic and decide to kill her. He brought her to her grave, made her watch and let her know she was going to die. He then strangled the girl to death and buried her. There was more than one person involved.

She was deep in drug culture and the local outlaw motorcycle gangs. She eventually became an informant that testified against many people including A.J. Rippatoe.

She was stabbed multiple times with possibly a switchblade. The knife was not found, the  rope she was strangled with was found around her neck. The found that she eaten right before her death. They think that when she went out to eat that she may had been noticed by someone.

At first they did not reveal the nature of her death and what she had done, because they hoped someone would brag about killing a narc. At least one of the investigators believed that it was a hired killing by one of the people she was informing against.

There was one person who claimed to have murdered Hass for money, but when confronted they said they didn't. They also took a polygraph that confirmed this. Then in 1977 another suspect of this case was found buried in cornfield. Disappearance of Rodney Wayne Longman

20-year-old Rodney Wayne Longman was described as a good kid who somewhat fell in with a bad crowd. He was a high school drop out and at the time seemed to not have any career aspirations. He worked for his grandfather. He did fall into a bad crowd and was involved with a bad drug deal in Nebraska.

This was one of the reasons he left his home in Lincoln, Nebraska to Miami Florida on March 14, 1985, in his 1984 yellow Ford Pinto. He might have been in the company of a man and a pregnant woman. He had mentioned to his friend, Lonnie Prawl, that he was going to Texas. He had sent his family some strange postcards after he left, but they seemed to have abruptly stopped soon after. His S.S. was used in Miami in 1992 it is unknown if it was Rodney using it.
