Murder of Douglas Hedrick
31-year-old Douglas Hedrick lived in the Unionville, Indiana area. On March 13, 1981, his body was found in his burned green 1972 Chevy Blazer near Shepherdsville, Kentucky. He was shot twice in the chest with a shotgun. He was then wrapped with a tarp and doused in gasoline and light on fire inside his truck. He was dead for at least 2 hours before he was lit on fire.
It was likely the murder happened in the Unionville area and was transported to Kentucky. It may have been a drug-related murder.
