Paranormal Games: Baby Blue

Image made in Imagine AI Art Generator

Poor Baby Blue had no chance as his mother was crazy. She would kill the baby with a piece of mirror glass.  This was how Baby Blue became a legend. They similar to Bloody Mart can be called through a mirror.

There are two different ways of calling baby blue.

In this one to start the ritual or game you should enter a bathroom and fog up the mirror with a friend. You can do this by breathing on it or using hot water. Once the mirror is fogged write "Baby Blue" on the mirror. Next, you turn the light off and wait around a minute. Then you should hold your arms like you would be carrying a baby. Your arms should feel the sensation of a baby in your arms. Hold them as if they are alive and there.

If you are doing this with a friend please hand the baby over carefully. If Baby Blue is dropped they will leave a scratch and if you intentionally drop them several times it won't end well. The mirror glass will explode killing you.

A second version of this legend has a slightly different ritual:

Enter the bathroom with the light already off. You will stand in front of the mirror and repeat "Baby Blue" or "Bloody Mary I killed your baby" 13 times. While doing this you should rock your arms back and forth like you are rocking a baby. After the 13th chant baby blue should appear in your arms and give you a scratch.

Then you are supposed to do the opposite of the first way. You are to drop or flush it down the toilet the baby and turn on the lights and leave. If you keep the baby the mother would come back screaming "Give me my baby!" and attempt to kill you with a piece of glass.

The Strange Case of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B Cumpston

In early December of 1873, a couple Mrs. Martha Ann and Thomas B. Cumpston experienced a strange occurrence at the Victoria Hotel in Bristol, England. They were staying at Clifton but wanted to proceed to Weston-super-mare in the morning.

They never expected to experience something terrifying that night.

When they settled down around midnight they began hearing strange noises. They let the landlady know and reassured them that it was nothing and not to worry about it.

About 4 in the morning they heard noises again. When they spoke the words they said echoed back to them.  Thomas seemed to more affected by the noises than Martha. The floor felt like it was giving away and then bed opened up beneath them and they fell in a pit. They believed that they were in a den of rogues and thieves and were in fear of their lives.

Thomas fired his revolver at the ceiling when Martha asked him to. To scare off whoever was there.  They were so terrified for their lives they jumped from the window that was twelve feet from the ground. Martha had stated she didn't even remember how they were able to out the window. The two rushed to the railway station finding somewhere away from the room.

The couple was charged with disorderly conduct and firing a firearm. When they spoke in front of the magistrate the charges were dropped. The way they spoke made it seem like they both believed what they were saying. The Magistrate believed that the young couple was suffering from a shared hallucination.

Mystic Spirits: Obambo

In Central Africa, there is a spirit called the Obambo. It's believed that when the person isn't buried with all the proper rites they would be unable to rest. When they tire of being out in the bush and often return to their loved ones. Sometimes they ask for them to build a home near them so they aren't lonely.

If they are seen the living a ceremony is started. It starts with the dance around the grave of the dead who returned. Music and drums are played and a fashioned rude idol is made and the spirit is laid to rest.

Ghost Ships: S.S. Ourang Medan "The Man from Medan"

The story goes that either in June 1947 or in some reports February 1948, a distressed signal was coming from an unknown ship. The person sending out the S.O.S. was scared. He stated that he was on a Dutch ship called the S.S. Ourang Medan and that everyone was dying.

He stated, "All officers including the captain are dead, lying in the Chartroom and Bridge." He then stated "Possibly the whole crew dead." Then indecipherable Morse Code was sent with the final message being "I die." Then there was the silence that followed.

An American ship going by the Silver Star believed that the ship was in the Straits of Malacca. Noting that there was some urgency in it they left right away. That was where they found the ship floating.

They noticed no sign of life on the ship and boarded. They realized that the S.O.S. was not exaggerated as they saw a horrifying sight on board. Everyone on board was laying there with their mouths and eyes open. Their hands were grasping at something as if they were protecting themselves, even though there were no wounds on them. Even the ships dog was found to be dead with the same horrified face on it. The crew members below the deck were in the same state. They found the man who sent out the S.O.S. with his finger on the telegraph.

The Americans who came to help also noted that the ship seemed to be cold even though it was a scorching 110 degrees outside. They quickly got off the ship and tried to pull it to shore. That would never happen as thick smoke began to rise out of the ship. The crew of the Silver Star barely had enough time to cut the line and get away from the Ourang Medan before it blew and sank.

Now for some facts and theories.

Some believed that the ship may have come from the Dutch East Indies. In Indonesian, Ourang means ‘man’ and Medan is the largest city on the island of Sumatra making some think that the ship may have come from there. The ship's name literally means "Man of Medan".

There were no records of the ship exists. Essentially it was a ghost ship before it was a ghost ship. Some theorize that the ship itself may have been expunged from records because they were smuggling things for the war. It could be possible that the "smoke" that the rescuers were seeing was a nerve gas that was being transported to Japan.

It was theorized that several countries were involved with the cover-up such as Singapore, Japan, Netherlands, Germany, China, and the United States. As at the time the use of Lethal Gas and Chemicals was baned.

The Silver Star was a ship at the time, but that was not the name it was going by. At the time the ship was named the Santa Juana. The Grace Line Shipping Company bought the rights to the ship and renamed it to the Silver Star.

It's also theorized that even though they weren't found in records possibly they did exist. That a malfunctioning boiler caused everyone to die from carbon Monoxide Poisoning.

A third theory is that it was pirates that killed the crew and left them the way they did. Which how would the pirates kill the crew without any physical injuries though.

The last theory which is more than likely the answer is that it never happened. It's more likely that this was an Urban Legend of the sea. That this was not an actual event, but possibly a hoax or Urban Legend that became well known.
