Murder of Virgilio Aguilera

At approximately 7:17 p.m. on August 23, 2020, unknown persons did a drive-by shooting on 5314 Brandenberry Drive in Columbus, Ohio. At the time 52-year-old Virgilio Aguilera was in the area and struck by one of the rounds. He would be brought to the hospital but passed away two hours later. 

It's not stated if Virgilio was the target.

Murder of Theron “Boukie” Woodard

On May 12, 2019, 26-year-old Theron “Boukie” Woodard was with friends in Fairfield County, South Carolina. They had left Insomnia Night Club and traveled on Columbia Mall Blvd. on the way to Summit. As they approached the Theater at Columbia Mall a dark-colored vehicle pulled up beside them and began shooting. Theron who was in the passenger seat was shot and killed.

Murder of Jovontia "Jovi" Jones

Around 6:55 p.m. on May 19, 2018, 16-year-old Jovontia "Jovi" Jones was in the parking lot at the Hilltop Liquor Store on Harrison St. in Davenport, Iowa. A drive-by shooting would happen and Jovi was struck. He would be taken to the hospital and died from his wounds the next day. Even though there were witnesses this is a case no one came forward with information.

Murder of Bishop Davis

On April 17, 2016, around 8:45 p.m. 18-year-old Bishop Davis was shot and killed on the 1100 block of Hull Sr. In the South Norfolk area of Chesapeake, Virginia. A vehicle had drover and fired several rounds at him

Murder of Dorian Jacques McCorvey

On October 22, 1995, 21-year-old Dorian McCorvey was driving his Burgandy Oldsmobile in Austin Texas. When they stopped at a traffic light at Manor Road in the far left-hand turn lane another vehicle pulled up on their right side. A young male would lean out of the passenger window and shot over the roof of the vehicle. They would shoot around 10 times everyone in Dorian's vehicle was shot including him. When Dorian was shot he lost control of the vehicle and careened across the street and into the car was office. Dorian would die at the scene and the two other passengers would go to the hospital.

The vehicle used in the shooting was either cream or dark-colored vehicle that was possibly a Cadillac.

Murder of Salorin Lopez

On August 19, 2004, 24-year-old Salorin Lopez and a woman were sitting in his car on Hawley Street in Worcester, Massachusetts. Someone would shoot at Salorin and his passenger would be struck by stray bullets. Weeks earlier he was in a bar fight that ended up getting his face slashed. Gang activity is suspected in this case.

Murder of Jakeem Tully

 

At 2 a.m. on July 20, 2008, 15-year-old Jakeem Tully was walking home from his girlfriend's house in Hartford, Connecticut. He was in front of a 24 hr market on 485 Albany Ave. with a group of men. A vehicle drove by with several men inside and they shot at the group. Jakeem was shot twice in the left bicep and left chest.

A car driving by saw that Jakeem had been injured and brought him to St. Francis Hospital. The police were called at 2:10 a.m. to the hospital for the shooting. Jakeem would, unfortunately, die at 2:42.

Murder of Brian Sean Housley

 

In the early morning of November 27, 2017, around 2:30 a.m. Brian Sean Housley was at the 900 block of 16th street in Ogden, Utah. He had been working on a car in a driveway.  He had shot in the head during a drive by shooting by an unknown person. After the shooting, the vehicle fled. Brian would die 3 days later.

Murder of Jada Simone Rankin

At 2 a.m. on October 16, 2016 at the 14300 block of Ardmore St. near Six Mile Rd and Schaefer Highway in Detroit, Michigan a birthday party was still going. 15-year-old Jada Rankin's older brother was celebrating his birthday at his grandmother's home.

At the time a car was speeding up and down the road. Her brother would ask the driver to slow down. This apparently angered the driver and opened his car door and shot into the crows. One of the bullets would his Jada in the abdomen and she would die a short time after arriving at the Sinai Grace Hospital. 

Police do not have a good description of the gunman, but he's an African American man in his late 20's and early 30's. The vehicle involved was a gray or silver sedan, possibly a mid-2000 Chevy Impala or Lumina. Below is an image of the possible shooter.

A playground has been named after Jada in Detroit. It is called the Jada Simone Rankin playground.

Murder of Melissa Slater

Around midnight on Jan. 10, 2013 18-year-old Melissa Slater had just got her hair done. She was walking to friends On Aubudon Rd. in Montgomery, Alabama. A drive-by by a person in an SUV had happened and Melissa was shot in the chest and died from her wounds.

Murder of Natalie Hertz

On April 2, 1992 around 12:35 a.m. shots were fired at a home on Fith Ave. in Billings Montana. A small party was happening inside and people dove as shots began. 16-year-old Natalie Hertz was confused by what was happening was shot. She was laying on the kitchen floor and still responding when help came. She soon died from her wounds at the hospital.

There were 6 shots from a .357 Magnum. The shooter shot through a closed door before fleeing. Three bullets went through the door and three went into the frame. The three men who lived in the home were unharmed and stated they didn't know why someone would shoot up their home.

Natalie had met the three a few days earlier and introduced her self as Samantha. She was at the time living across the street with some friends the last few days after she ran away from home. It's believed that Natalie is an innocent bystander in this case. That there was a motive, but she was not a part of it.

Witnesses outside the home stated it was a Hispanic or Black man with curly hair run up to the house on foot. He shot at the house and ran. A dark 1979 to 1982 pickup truck came and picked up the man. The truck had running lights on the cab, and chrome wheels and chrome grill.

Murder of Kerby R. Acosta

On July 13, 1997, 17-year-old Kerby Acosta was hanging out with his friends in Denver, Colorado. He and his friends were standing around the 4500 Mariposa St. An unknown vehicle with several people inside drove by the group and used a shotgun to shoot into the group. Kerby was hit and died at the scene. It's believed that the shooting may be gang-related.
