November 8, 1981 Danville, Virginia John Doe

November 8, 1981, the skeletal remains were found scattered in an old dumpsite near Danville, Virginia. It's believed that he had died likely in 1959.

John Doe was a Black male and was between 40 to 60 years old. He was 5'2" to 5'7". He was wearing a large dark-colored cotton T-shirt.

Murder of Stacey Gilman

On July 4, 1981, 19-year-old Stacey Gilman was spending the 4th of July in Hawaii with family instead of New Jersey where she was. Stacey and her sister, Robin, and a friend would walk by the water on Ft. DeRussy beach in Waikiki. As it was the 4th of July fireworks were going. It was seemingly a normal 4th of July. Until someone shot a gun and the bullet hit Stacey in the head. Stacey was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, she died 3 hours later. 

It's unknown if the shooting was intentional or not. In the area, there was a group of around 5 or 6 military men. People stated that these men were seen with a gun on the seawall on the Koko head end of the beach. It's unknown if these men were involved in the shooting.

One Suspect is a local male around 20 years old. He is 5'8" and 150 lbs with a slim to medium build. At the time he had dark wavy hair down to his neck and was sporting a mustache. He has a dark complexion and some pockmarks on his face.

The other suspect appeared to be a military serviceman a white male around 20 years old. He is 5'9" and 150 lbs. He has a medium build. He has a fair complexion and fair eyes.

Murder of Glenda Nolan

On May 30, 1981, Glenda Nolan was murdered in her apartment at 2115 Bethel Avenue - Apt. 379n in Knoxville, Tennessee. There is little information in this case.

On February 17,1981, 37-year-old Clarence Parchman last spoke to a family member in Indianapolis, Indiana. His car was later found abandoned off an interstate in Terre Haute. There is little information in this case. 

Clarence is a black man and was 37 years old at the time. He's 5'11" and 187 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

January 9, 1981 Dallas, Texas John Doe

On January 9, 1981 mummified body of the deceased was found surrounded by trash in a shed by construction workers in Dallas, Texas.

John Doe was a white man and was between 28 to 35 years old. He was 5'7" and 106 lbs. He had curly strawberry blonde hair, and a full beard and mustache. He had a "Pus pimple" on the end of the right eyebrow and on the right side of the neck. He was wearing a long sleeved brown checked shirt, a long-sleeved brown shirt, a pair of blue jeans, a belt, a pair of black socks, and a pair of size 10 brown, gum-soled shoes.

Disappearance of Rogelio Ramon Rodriguez

31-year-old Rogelio Ramon Rodriguez was last seen in 1981 after arriving from Cuba during the Mariel boat lift. he was last seen in Miami Florida. 

Rogelio is a Hispanic man and was 31-year-old at the time. He is 5'6" to 5'8" and 150 to 175 lbs.

Murder of Katherine Ewing

On September 26, 1981, 37-year-old Katherine Ewing was found at Fort Loudon Lake in Knoxville, Tennessee. Her body had been weighted as she was chained to pieces of cinder blocks. She had died from drowning around 5 days before her discovery.

Disappearance of Peter Perjesy

 

On September 22, 1981, 14-year-old, Peter Perjesy played ping-pong with his father at the school building Risi in Ulisbach-Wattwil SG, Switzerland. He left at 8pm,but it was found that his locked bike and sweater were left at the His locked bike with the jacket remained in the bike shelter on Friedhofstrasse. Peter was never seen again.

Peter is a white male and was 14-years-old at the time. He has brown hair.

On April 10, 1981, the body of a young man was found in Miami, Florida.

He was a white male between 15 to 25-years-old. He was 5'8" and 146 lbs. He had black hair and brown eyes and was sporting a sparse mustache and beard. He had a 6-inch scar on his upper right chest and an unfinished tattoo of a woman on his left arm. He has had several fillings in his teeth. He was wearing a tan shirt, a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Murder of Carl Charles LaChel

On January 24, 1981, 36-year-old Carl LeChel was reported missing from his home at the Lincoln Park Apartments on Mammouth Rd. in Hooksett, New Hampshire. At 10:30 a.m. on March 31st his body would be found by loggers in a wooded area off of Currier Rd. in Concord. He had been beaten about the right side of his head and his throat slashed. 

Carl had a criminal history. In 1976 he was prosecuted for the kidnapping and attempted murder of a 7-year-old girl. He was found not guilty due to insanity and was sent to prison and then to the state hospital in 1977. He was released the November before his death.

Disappearance of Rhonda Dale Byers

18-year-old Rhonda Dale Byers was last seen in Birmingham, Alabama in 1981. There is little information in this case. She may also by Rhonda Phelps. 

Rhonda is a white female and was 18-years-old at the time. She was 5'4" to 5'7" and 120 to 150 lbs. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Murder of Myrtle Vera Cole

 

Around 10:13 a.m on December 12, 1981, A family member of 81-year-old Myrtle Cole went to her home in Fairhaven, Minnesota. She was either killed that morning or the night before. She was found half nude on her bed and had been stabbed to death. In one article it states that a neighbor saw a car parked outside her home around 2 a.m. and a man was seen peaking out.

Fairhaven had a population of 100 people at the time and had a small tavern, a grocery store, a church, and City Hall. Myrtle was living alone in her home after her husband passed away in the years before her murder. She was well known in Fairhaven.

December 5, 1981 Pecos County, Texas Jane Doe

 The skeletal remains of a young girl were found on Bunger Cameron Ranch in Pecos County, Texas near U.S. 285 and Ft. Stockton. She died between 1974 to 1980. Her head, Torso, and one or more limbs and one or more hands were not recovered. 

Jane Doe is a girl between 7 to 9-years-old

Murder of Michael Morgan

 On November 29, 1981, 25-year-old Michael Morgan was seen talking to a man in the backyard of 3513 Stanley Ave in Fort Worth, Texas. About 10 minutes after the witness seen Michael they heard gunshots and found Michael dead in his front yard. Evidence showed that Michael was shot several times inside his home and walked outside and passed.

A news article mentions that Michael had told a neighbor that he had been attacked coming out of his home. That the person came at him with a knife and cut off the end of his finger. Michael was able to fend off his attacker with a rake in the yard that time. Michael was thinking of getting a gun for protection. This event happened about two weeks before his death.

Murder of Clifton Wendell Marsh

In 1981 68-year-old Clifton Marsh lived in Hope Michigan and was retired and liked to travel in his camper. He was on his 29th trip by September of  1981 for a fishing trip to British Columbia, Canada. In the early morning of October 1, 1981, he was parked in his camper at a rest are along Highway 2 approximately 7 miles east of Devils Lake, North Dakota.

Later that day his body was found on the bank of a nearby pond. He had been shot in the head. His camper was still there. His broken eyeglasses and blood evidence were found. It's believed that around 1:30 a.m. Clifton was lured out of his camper. He would be shot twice in the head while beside the front left wheel, this is where his glasses were found. Blood evidence showed that his killer tried to drag him into the camper unsuccessfully and decided to drag him to where he was found.

The dipstick to the pickup's engine was lying on the ground near it. The hood was closed and the valve on the front left tire was off. It's unknown if the killer had done it before the murder, or was a conscious attempt by them or if there was another reason.

It was likely the motive for the murder was a robbery. At the time though Clifton was not carrying much money in his wallet. It would have been only $20 to $80. They left the rest of his possessions untouched, but Clifton did have $700 in his camper.

August 16, 1981 Los Angeles County, California John Doe

 On August 16, 1981, a body was found in Los Angeles County, California. He had died sometime that year. There is little information in this case. 

John Doe is an Asian male and was between 30 to 48-years-old. He was 4'10" and 133 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Murder of L.G. Strowbridge

In 1981 55-year-old L.G. Strowbridge was a transient traveling east to return to his home state Michigan. On July 1, 1981, his body would be found underneath the eastbound lane of I-80 at the Pilot Butte exit in Rock Springs, Wyoming. He had suffered from severe trauma and died from strangulation. He was last seen in Salt Lake City, Utah area around two days before.

Murder of Angela Belisle

On Jan. 3, 1981, 35-year-old Angela Belisle's body was found in her driveway at 62 Brooks Ave. in Burlington, Vermont. Someone walking by the home saw her body underneath the frozen snow. It was initially believed she had gotten out of her car and slipped in the snow and hit her head, possibly freezing to death. But that was proven false as they uncovered the snow on her and found that she had been shot to death. 

Evidence shows that her killer waited for her hiding beside the garage. The person would move to their position and shoot Angela in the head. It seemed that the crime was perpetrated by someone who knew Angela or at least knew her schedule it was planned. Nothing was stolen and there was no contact between the killer and victim. If the gun was found the bullet would match.

Angela is a mother of three and a teacher. She and her ex had recently divorced. That night she met her ex at the parking lot of UVM and dropped off the children to spend the night at their Dads. She would then go to the grocery store and then home.
