April 29, 2021 Assault and Carjacking Towaoc, Colorado




On April 29, 2021, an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation was assaulted and his vehicle was stolen near the entrance gate of Weeminuche Construction Authority in Towaoc, Colorado. The assault resulted in numerous injuries to his face and head and it required stitches and caused a concussion and brain bleed.  His cell phone and wallet were in the truck, and his work tools were in the truck bed at the time of the assault and robbery.

The vehicle is a 2015 Chevrolet Colorado 2WD crew cab short bed with Arizona tag CAF1572, The VIN is 1GCGSAE30F1176700. The truck has a cracked windshield, black marks near the driver’s side front fender, and an “Aztec Strong” sticker in the rear window.
