Murder of Brett Kreglo

Around 10:49 p.m. on December 4, 1985 officers were dispatched to a robbery call at Pizza Hut on 7520 E. 87th St. in Kansas City, Missouri. During the process of the robbery 22-year-old Brett Kreglo and his friend Dave would arrive at the Pizza Hut to pick up a pizza.

Just before the two came in the robbers put the people in the store in the cooler. The two gunmen would then tell them to get to the bathroom. Brett would be shot because he was not doing it swiftly enough for the robbers. They didn't even have the chance to leave the entry foyer before they shot him. He was shot in the upper left chest and killed instantly. the robbers would get away with $2,000.

Dave and Brett were only in town for an hour. They had just come to town to find jobs and Brett's sister also lived here. They were originally from Colorado.

At the time it was suspected the same robbers were the same people who robbed Gates&Son and held a gun to 10-year-old's head who walked into the robbery. They tormented the kid and then locked everyone in the restaurant's Meat cooler. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but one article mentions this.

One suspect was described as a black male around 30 years old. Around 5'6" and 145lbs.He was wearing a tan three-piece corduroy suit with a white shirt. The second suspect was a black male. He's 6'1" and 160 bls. He was wearing a black stocking mask, burgundy jacket, and pants.
