Murder of Patrick Grayson

On January 31, 2007, a driver found a body lying near the road on  S.J. Bennett Dr in Birmingham, Alabama. It was 37-year-old Patrick Grayson and someone had murdered him. He had been shot to death. A few feet from his body were his ID and cell phone.  A witness told detectives he had heard a gunshot and what sounded like a woman screaming when Patrick was killed.

On January 31, 2020, 32-year-old Morgan Rae was last seen leaving his friend's residence in Caringbah, New South Wales. He attended an appointment in Gymea. His family worry about his welfare.

Disappearing Cabin in Arcata Community Forest

In July of 2015, Mark Andre was marking trees in one of Arcata Community Forest's remote sections. He was surprised to happen upon a cabin. It was perfectly concealed until you got around 12 ft close to it. It was in a perfect out-of-the-way spot. there were no trails or even foot trails that led to it.

It wasn't trashy, but a proper makeshift home. It did not feature any destruction to the environment like many other makeshift shacks found in the area. It was around 12 ft high with a concrete block foundation, with a stout frame, peaked roof, multiple windows, walls of plywood, and even featured a porch with an awning. The outside was covered with brown tarps, black plastic sheeting, and vegetation and brush disguising it.

Inside there were books, curtains, and a wood stove. It was obvious it was not a weekend project. It was strange that there was no evidence of how the woodstove would have gotten in there let alone gotten there through the dense forest. There was a to-do list found. The earliest date was in January of 2011 meaning for at least 4 years the cabin laid unfound.

An eviction notice would be placed on the shack as it was illegal for them to be there. The shack would have to be taken down and the items inside would have been kept for when the person would come to get them. However when they went back to the shack it was already all cleaned up.

A couple weeks later they visited the shack and it was noticeable they were removing their things. When they came back a couple weeks after that the shack was gone and the area was cleaned up with the squatters symbol left with charcoal.

It's unknown who had built the shack.

On January 29, 1924, the body of a newborn baby girl was found on the roadside in Whitehaven, England by two boys. The baby was burned and her arm and leg had been burned off. She was then wrapped in a newspaper and left at the roadside where she was found.

Disappearance of Gesus Torres

On January 28, 2005, 15-year-old Gesus Torres was last seen in Fontana California, and was reported missing a week after she disappeared by her sister. Her family had recently moved to the area from Mexico.It's believed that she was a runaway, but it's unknown if she had a history of running away.

Gesus is a Hispanic woman and was 15-years-old at the time. She is 5'4" and 180lbs. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

January 27, 1991 Columbia County, Georgia John Doe

On January 27, 1991 skull was found by a hunter in a wooded area in Columbia County, Georgia. They carried it home and called the police. They however were unable to take the police to where it had been found. It is believed that he had died months before.

In the late 1980s Tina Walls was last seen by her family in Gulfport, Mississippi. The date last seen is unknown, but the Harris County Sherrif's Office did have contact with her on January 26, 1987, when she was 27-years-old. She would have gone missing after this date.

Murder of Jerry Wayne Osborne

At about 7:40 p.m. on January 25, 1990, 18-year-old Jerry Osborne's Grandmother found him suffering from a gunshot wound in their home on Earnhardt Lake Rd in Davidson, North Carolina. Murder of Sheree Allen

On January 24, 2005, 22-year-old Sherree Allen's body was found by an employee in a dumpster behind the Hollywood Video in West Valley City, Utah. She had been wrapped in a black garbage bag. She was strangled to death the day before.

At the time Sharee was working as a prostitute and was last seen alive by her supposed Pimp, Carl “Big Smooth” Swanigan. Carl was not cooperative and has since died in 2014.

At 6:30 PM on January 24, 1995, 37-year-old Richard Lee Green was scheduled to leave the Hampton Greyhound Bus Station in Hampton, Virginia. He however never picked up the bus ticket.

Richard is a Native American/Alaska Native man and was 37 years old at the time. He's 5'8" and 130 lbs. He has black hair and black eyes. He has Carmelita and Georgia tattoo on his right arm, a cross tattoo on his hand, and #8 tattoo on his back.

Around 6:45 pm on January 23, 2017, a caregiver of 72-year-old Herbert Snyder was last seen him at 4066 Powelton Ave in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania. He was known to frequent 41st and Powelton Ave., 4000 Market St. He may have been in a care facility as his photo was provided by one.

Disappearance of Eusebio Montoya

On January 18, 2008, 57-year-old Eusebio Montoya was last seen at his home on Oso Ridge in Grants, New Mexico. His family would report him missing three days later. It did not seem he brought anything with him as all his belongings and his vehicles were at the home.

On January 16, 1998, a houseboat on the Jacob van Lennepkade, at the corner of Nicolaas Beetstraat in Amsterdam, Netherlands broke out in a fire. It was unknown if it was accidental or on purpose, but there was one causality in the fire. 

 

The woman who had died's identity could not be found. She was going by Karen or Catherine and seemed to have only spoken English meaning she may be from an English-speaking country. It's unknown if these were her name though as it's believed she was using a false identity at the time. 

Jane Doe was a white female between 25 to 35-years-old. She was 163cm (5'3"). She has brown hair and green eyes, it is however possible her hair was dyed. She had eczema and had many warts around her knees. She has pierced ears. She was wearing gold earrings and two thin chained gold necklaces one of which had a small gold heart pendant.

Murder of Cheryl Lynne Coates

On January 15, 1985, the body of a young woman was found in a shallow grave in the area of MacArthur Blvd. and Stamford Rd in Superior Township, Michigan. Her shallow grave near the Woolman Oval Apartments had been abandoned in the 1970s and does not exist now. She had been dead for several months to a year. She had been killed by being shot in the head.

The young woman was 25-year-old Cheryl Coates, but she would be a Jane Doe until 2023. Her DNA was submitted to Ortham and on December 15, 2023, she was identified.

Cheryl was known to frequent Detroit and Southfield.

On January 15, 1924, 53-year-old Albert Fairhead was found dead in his home on 379 Newport Road, Middlesbrough, England. He was found with his head in a water tub and drowned. He likely did not commit suicide as it would have been very difficult to do it this way and he seemed to have had no worries in his life.

Murder of Frankie Cabrera

In the early morning of January 14, 2006, Frankie Cabrera and their friend went to get gas at Circle K at the corner of 21st St and Avenue A in Yuma, Arizona. This is when they got into a fight with a group of Hispanic males and this resulted in Frankie getting stabbed to death.

Frankie was not involved with gangs, but it's believed that his killers were.

The Boroboroton belongs is a specific kind of Japanese Yokai called Tsukumogami or artifact spirit. These kinds of spirits are from manmade objects either possessed by ghosts or spirits or they form their own spirit from constant use for at least 90 to 100 years. If They form their own spirit they often look brand new or pristine despite their old age.

The Boroboroton is a tattered futon or a Japanese sleeping mat. They come alive at night and will come to life at night especially if it feels ignored or needless. In revenge, they will rise up in the air and kill any sleeping person they make contact with. It will wrap around the head and neck of the sleeper with the intent of strangling them to death. 

Sometimes they will meet with other Tsukumogami and throw noisy parties or leave the gome search for other beings.

Fawn Hoof Mummy

 

In September of 1811 a tomb for a woman was found inside Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. She was found in a little crypt with a big stone as a roof. She was in a sitting position with two decorated deer skins, and a woven woolen blanket. Her red hair was cut short, and her teeth and nails were pristine. She was 6 ft tall which was unusual for the time. There was evidence of makeup on her lips. She had a necklace made of young deer hooves, giving her the name "Fawn Hoof Mummy". She had many dressing ornaments and utensils in her tomb. She must have been cared for.

Some say that she was mummified purposely and similarly to how the Egyptians did it. It's possible that she wasn't and that it was done naturally due to the cave and the deer skins she was wrapped in. It's unknown now as her body has been lost. 

After her body was found at the time like many other historical remains it was treated as property. She had gone through many hands. The last time it was seen was shortly after the Smithsonian photographed it. Some believe that the Smithsonian still has her remains, but they were disassembled and stored.

January 9, 1981 Dallas, Texas John Doe

On January 9, 1981 mummified body of the deceased was found surrounded by trash in a shed by construction workers in Dallas, Texas.

John Doe was a white man and was between 28 to 35 years old. He was 5'7" and 106 lbs. He had curly strawberry blonde hair, and a full beard and mustache. He had a "Pus pimple" on the end of the right eyebrow and on the right side of the neck. He was wearing a long sleeved brown checked shirt, a long-sleeved brown shirt, a pair of blue jeans, a belt, a pair of black socks, and a pair of size 10 brown, gum-soled shoes.

Murder of MarRico Gafford Sr

Around 9:50 pm on January 8, 2002, 24-year-old MarRico Gafford Sr. was sitting in the front seat of a 1987 Chevrolet Caprice in the area of 33rd and Larimore Street in Omaha Nebraska. The passenger side door was open and it's believed he was shot from there. When police arrived MarRico was still alive and was transferred to the hospital. He would unfortunately die soon after.

Disappearance of Louis C. Lakin

37-year-old Louis Lakin was last known to be somewhere between the logging camps outside of Gresham, Oregon, and Missoula, Montana on Jan. 6, 1928. His family members in Oregon would report him missing that same year. There were several searches for him over the years, but he was never found. 

Louis is a white male and was 37-years-old at the time. He was 5'7" to 5'9" and 145lbs to 155lbs. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

January 5, 2021, Washington, D.C. Pipe Bombs

Between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on January 5, 2021, an unknown person placed two pipe bombs in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington, D.C. One was placed in an alley behind the Republican National Committee on 310 First St SE, and the other was placed on a park bench near the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee on 430 South Capitol St SE #3.

The individual wore a facemask, glasses, gloves, a backpack, a grey hoodie, and black and light grey Nike Air Max Speed Turd shoes with a yellow logo.

Components of the devices included 1x8 in threaded galvanized pipes, end caps, kitchen timers, wires, metal clips, and homemade black powder.

The FBI and ATF are offering a combined reward of up to $490,000 for information leading to the location, arrest, and conviction of the person or persons responsible. The Metropolitan Police Department is also offering a reward of up to $10,000. The total reward amount is now up to $500,000, but The Metropolitan Police Department has its own terms for the amount of money.
