Urban Legends: Romãozinho

In Boa Sorte district, Pedro Afonso, Goiás, Brazil Romãozinho was born to a farmer and his wife. As the boy grew up he was said to be disobedient, cruel, and evil. He was known to get great pleasure from treating animals cruelly and killing plants.

Sometimes Romãozinho's mother would tell the boy to bring his father lunch. His father worked in a garden. One day even though Romãozinho did not want to bring the food to his father he did. On the way, he would eat the chicken and place it back into the lunch box. 

He would hand the lunchbox to Father as he was supposed to. His father was confused when he opened the box and his food was eaten. The father asked the boy what the bones meant. In response Romãozinho did not take responsibility instead he told him that his mother sent it to him that way on purpose. That the bones were the leftovers from his mother and the man who came over when his father wasn't home.  

This enraged his father and caused him to go back home immediately. Romãozinho would follow along knowing that his mother was going to be on the other end of his father's wrath. When they arrived home his father would pull out a dagger and began stabbing his wife. All while this was happening Romãozinho laughed enjoying his mother's "punishment". 

Knowing her son was the reason for all this and his pure joy from her death she would curse him with her dying breath. "You will never die! You won't know heaven or hell, or even rest until there's just one person left living on Earth!"

Romãozinho would continue to laugh especially after she died. This came true as he never grew up. It's said that he can be seen wandering the street causing mayhem. This however doesn't always mean he was entirely bad. In one story Romãozinho assists a woman in labor by scaring a local midwife chicken. This would help the midwife find the lone woman and help her give birth.

Murder of Amanda "Sissy" Goodman

On the afternoon of May 16, 1989, 13-year-old Amanda "Sissy" Goodman was walking home from her Middle School in Brownwood, Texas. She would be last seen alive around 3:30 pm. Around 45 minutes later her mother would search for her.

Around 4:30 a passing motorist would find her body would be found 10 miles south of Brownwood. She was in a ditch in the Indian Creek Community. She had been shot in the head and killed. Nothing was taken from her.

Murder of Chantal Saurial

On May 15, 1988, the remains of  16-year-old Chantal Saurial were found by a fisherman near Cannan and Averill, Vermont. Just a mile south of the Canadian Border from her home country. Chantal was a Jane Doe for 8 years. It wasn't listed how she had died, but it was a violent end

She had disappeared from Montreal, Quebec, Canada in May of 1987. She was staying at the Maison Notre Dame Detention Center. During a group outing, she slipped away from them and wasn't seen again. Her life was not easy as she was homeless was working as a prostitute and was into drugs and alcohol. Her friend who was also homeless at the same time said that Chantal was scared of living on the streets. She may have been moving drugs for a motorcycle gang in Montreal.

Around 1980 Portal North Dakota John Doe

In 2016 a skull was turned into Sheridan County Sheriff's Office. The skull was found in an outbuilding in or around 1980 in Portal, North Dakota.

John Doe was an Asian Male.

Murders of Florence Eyssalenne and Gretta Denise Rainey

On 600 block of 3rd St. SE at the Capitol Hill Apartments in Washington, D.C. two women were murdered in an apartment building. The two apartments were next to each other, and neither were broken into. It seemed that the suspect either knew the victims or somehow was allowed in the homes. He would sexually assault the women and strangle them to death. It wasn't until 2022 that DNA connected the two cases. The DNA belongs to a man believed to be Black. 

Around 9 am on October 27, 1985, 23-year-old Florence Eyssalenne's body would be found dead in her apartment. She was raped and strangled to death. 

At 12:20 pm on May 13, 1987, 35-year-old Gretta Rainey's girlfriend Roxanne Johnson became concerned for her. Gretta was not answering the phone when she called. So Roxanne would come to the apartment with a coworker and would find Gretta's body. She had been raped and strangled to death.

Disappearance of Ian Douglas Dickinson

In May of 1991, 22-year-old Ian Dickison was visiting Toronto, Ontario, Canada from Scotland. He would be last seen around 4:00pm on May 12, 1991 he was last seen leaving a restaurant near Yonge Street and Eglington Avenue. He was supposed to return on May 23, but he did not board his flight.

Ian is a white male and was 22 years old at the time. He is 175 cm (5'9") and 73 kg (161 lbs). He has red wavy hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He has a scar on his left leg.  He was wearing a light green and white rugby shirt, denim blue pants, and brown leather shoes.

May 11, 1933 Putnam County, Missouri Jane Doe

On May 11, 1933, Mr. Davis was walking t near Highway No. 4 five miles from Unionville, Missouri. The ground was wet and didn't want to fight with the muddy roads. He would pass a culvert and notice what he initially thought was a baby doll on the rocks below. He continued on his walk, but the "doll" made him uncomfortable.

When he got to the next house the thought of it not just being a baby doll bothered him. He would go up to tell Mr. Steele of the "doll" and that he was uncertain if it was actually one or an infant. Mr. Davis would continue on to Unionville and Mr. Steele went to check on the doll. It was not a doll, but the body of a newborn baby girl. He would contact another neighbor and then they contacted Sheriff Gibson. The Sheriff and Prosecutor could not show up to the scene, so Dr. Thomas would also show up instead.

The baby had been born and died within the last 24 to 36 hours. The baby was premature and had a string tied around the navel. The string was that of what was used in corsets or girdles. It's likely the baby was placed in some clothing on the west side of the road or in the ditch in a pasture near the old road. The heavy rains would have washed her and the clothes down to where they were found. It is not stated how the baby had died.

Michael Dimitri Georgies

On May 10, 2019, 74-year-old Michael Georgies was last seen in Myrtle Creek, Oregon. Has residences in both Myrtle Creek and Eugene. His 2007 Toyota Yaris was also missing but was found abandoned in November 2019. There is little information in this case. 

Michael is a white male and was 74 years old at the time. He is 5'9" and 185 lbs. He has grey hair and hazel eyes.

Murder of Rashaun Julius Nelson

Around 1 am on May 9, 2001, 21-year-old Rashaun Julius Nelson rode his bike on West Buck St in Paulsboro, New Jersey. He was confronted by two men and shot in the head causing death. He was found with at least 10 bags of cocaine and several hundred of dollars on him. So robbery does not seem to have been the motive. 

One article stated that a few weeks before his death Rashaun was confronted by a man. The man brandished a gun and threatened him. 

There was someone charged with Rashaun's murder, but they were found not guilty.

Disappearance of Winnefred Jeanette Freeman

On May 8, 1968, 20-year-old Winnefred Freeman was last seen getting into her 1964 blue and white Chevrolet with a heavyset middle-aged man in Portland, Oregon. Her car would be found abandoned four days later in Portland.

Winnefred is a black female and was 20 years old at the time. She's 5'4" and 115 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Serial Poopers: College Campus Crapper

At the beginning of May 1999, San Francisco University in San Fransisco, California was the destination for  "The College Campus Crapper". At least 24 incidents of unknown person or persons would crap where they should not and it was usually on the floor. It happened in both men's and women's bathrooms, even once in a classroom. The gifts the Campus Crapper would leave were usually in the stalls right in front of the toilets. It seemed as if they changed location often leading them to never be caught
