The Attack on Julie Cooper

Between 1:05 and 1:15 pm on 15 August 2000, 28-year-old Julie Cooper was walking back to work after taking a lunch break at home. She would be attacked on a cycle path close to Norfolk County Hall, Martineau Lane, and a local industrial estate at Europa in Norwich, England. Julie would suffer from injuries and on her face and upper body from a knife or sharp weapon and had been robbed.  Julie would survive the attack and would end up having several surgeries because of it.

The attack was not common in this area of Norwich, and there didn't seem to be any similar attacks or offences leading up to the attack. The area she was attacked may have been a busy traffic route, but at the time the path was heavily overgrown so her attacker may have done the attack in that area for that reason.

Police hope that someone will come forward with information so that this case could be solved.
