Murder of James William Skeel



Around 1:30 a.m On September 21, 1982, 52-year-old James Skell left the Staircase Lounge, 300 S. Highland Drive, and would get to his apartment at 4137 South 570 East in Salt Lake City, Utah. His neighbors would report hearing loud noises that same morning. For the next two days, he would miss work and someone concerned for him went to check up on him. On the 23rd his body would be found nude and faced down on his bed. He had been hit in the head with something fairly heavy and blunt. His house wasn't ransacked other than a few drawers in his bedroom open the only things missing were his wallet and car keys. At the time James was known to bring other men to his aparmtent.
