Disappearance of Jael Hinderbrand

William Hinderbrand was transgender and she went by name Jael and the nickname Billy. She Graduated high school in 2006. She was working at Cinnamon's Sweets Club studying cosmetology at Mr. Bernard's School of Hair and Fashion in Bangor Maine. She was a member of Passmaquoddy tribe.

On November 4, 2010 near midnight several calls were made to the police that a woman was seen standing on the edge of the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge over the Penobscot River in Bangor, Maine. The woman had jumped once the police showed up. She was swallowed up by the river which was at freezing tempetures in that time of year. Searches for her ensued but her body was not found. In a purse nearby it had Jael's I.D.

It's believed she was intoxicated when she got up on the bridge. She had a history of suicide attempts. It's believed that she died that November night. She was declared dead 2014. Her body has not been found and the case will remain open until it is.

Jael is biologically male, but was transgender and lived as a woman. She was 22 at the time. She was 5'10" and 155 lbs. She had black hair and Hazel eyes.
