On October 13, 1989, 18-year-old Sheri Herr was alone at her home in Warren, Indiana. Her parents had left the home around 8:30 a.m. to go to work. When her father got back to the home around 4:30 p.m. he would find Sheri dead in her bedroom.
Sheri had been beaten about the head with several objects and stabbed in the throat. It's not believed that the crime was sexually motivated. Her cause of death was from the beating and not her stab wound to the throat.
