Murder of Denise Davenport

On February 24, 1985, 20-year-old Denise Davenport was working at the Greeley Mall in Greeley, Colorado. She would be seen leaving the mall around 5 pm. At the time she was driving her boyfriend’s blue Mazda RX-7. She was supposed to go to a sorority party that started at 6 pm. However, she never arrived and was never seen alive again

There was a wide search for her. The car was found in a University of Northern Colorado parking lot near Frazer Hall. The car was unlocked with the radio on and mud inside. It's believed she was not the last person to drive the car. Her boyfriend stated that she would never leave the car unlocked or the radio on.

On April 20, 1985, Denise's nude body was found floating in the South Platte River. It's not stated how she had died,
