Murder of Jacqueline Dunleavy


On the night of Jan. 9, 1968 16-year-old Jacqueline Dunleavy was working at the Stanley Variety Store on Stanley St. at Wharncliffe Rd in London, Ontario, Canada. She left work at 6:35 p.m. and was last seen walking in front of the store.

At 8:10 p.m. three youth found Jacqueline's body in the drive wat of the Kathrine Harley School which today is Mathew's Hall on Oxford St. west of Sanitorium Rd. Although she suffered a head injury she was strangled to death. According to one article, she had a wad of facial tissues stuffed into her mouth. Her shoes and stocking her piled next to her, but there was no sign of rape.

Jacqueline was not a student at the school she was found at. She was a grade 10 student at Westminister Secondary School at the time.
