Murder of Kraig King

On September 21, 1982, Loggers discovered the body of a young man along Highway 25 in Ridgeland, Wisconsin on private lands of a wooded area.  At first, it was thought that the body was a pile of clothes until it was looked at.

It wasn't until Jan. of 2020 when the body was identified to belonging to 20/21-year-old Kraig King. He had been stabbed at least three times in the upper abdomen. This was based on both his remains and the cuts in his shirt. The cuts were so deep it had hit his spine. It was likely he died in May or April of 1982.

At the time Kraig was living in White Bear Lake, Minnesota and it was unknown why Kraig would have been in Wisconsin. It's unknown if he was killed at the scene or if his body was abandoned there.

His identification was done with help of DNA Doe Project.
