Murder of Darryl Messer
On June 21, 1990, 25-year-old Darryl Messer was at his home a quarter of a mile west of U.S. 421 on West St, Medaryville, Indiana. He went to his garden to get vegetables and didn't return inside. This was when he was discovered lying in the yard suffering from a gunshot wound. He would later die due to this.
