Murder of Stella Bolton and James Moore

At 1:30 a.m. on February 16, 1991, the home of 63-year-old Stella Bolton and 73-year-old James J.J. Moore at 74 Rockhill Avenue in Portsmouth, New Hampshire would be on fire. Inside the two's bodies would be found inside and they had been murdered. They had been stabbed to death and then a fire was set in the left rear bedroom. The knife was believed to be found in the neighborhood by a boy.

The two were known to be friendly and got along with people. This may have been the reason they were targeted.
