On September 22, 2018, 30-year-old Shantia Peterson was sitting in the parking lot of 900 Block of Hudson St. in Columbus, Ohio. Gunfire would erupt and Shantia was struck in the neck. She would not die at the scene and was taken to Grant Hospital in critical condition. As a result of her injuries, she was hospitalized at Mount Carmel Saint Ann's. She would pass away from her injuries on June 18, 2020.
