Shortly after 10 p.m. on September 25, 1990, someone would knock on 30-year-old Musa Kamara at his home on 20 North Swing Rd in Greensboro, North Carolina. Musa would answer the door and step outside to talk to the man. The man would pull out a gun and shoot him three times in his chest and Musa would die soon after.
Musa's girlfriend and uncle were in the home at the time. His uncle was asleep at the time. The murder might have happened due to some sort of financial dispute.
According to newspapers at the time the suspect was a black male and was 5'6". He was wearing a grey shirt with multicolored verticle stripes and beige pants.
Musa was a Liberia native and came to the United States with his family. At the time he was the owner of Kicks Running, a high fashion casual wear shop. However, he planned to close the shop soon. The day before Musa had celebrated his 30th birthday.
