Curtis Lee Brovold is wanted for the alleged sexual activities with a 14-year-old Minnesota girl. He started talking to the girl online in February of 2000. In July of 2000, It was alleged that the two engaged in sexual activities in Moorhead, Minnesota at a local hotel.
He was then arrested on July 11, 2000, and was released on bond. He would not appear for his court hearing scheduled on September 18, 2000, in Clay County. This caused a state arrest warrant issued in State in Minnesota, Seventh Judicial District after Brovold was charged with criminal sexual conduct. He was also charged subsequently with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and a federal arrest warrant was issued by the United States District Court, State, and District of Minnesota.
