Who was Alanis Morrisett's You Oughta Know about?

On July 7, 1995, Alanis Morrisett released her third album Jagged Little Pill and on it was the song You Oughta Know. The song would become popular even hitting it high in the charts. People though began to wonder who the ex is in her song is. Alanis Morrisett has stated though that she wouldn't reveal who the people in any of her songs are about because she writes about her feelings and the music is for herself not others. This won't stop people from wondering who angered the Canadian singer enough to get a song written about them.
