Murder of Deborah "Missy" Ann Brooks

At 8:20 pm on November 13, 1980, 17-year-old Deborah "Missy" Brooks arrived at her home at 1425 Monroe St. in Northeast Washington, D.C. Her mother had gotten her prescription that day. Deborah would look at it and realize that it wasn't filled right. Deborah would leave and try to make it to the People's Drug Store on 12th St. before they closed. She wouldn't return that night.

The next day around 3 pm two deer hunters went in a four-wheel-drive vehicle into a wooded area off Sharpersville Rd in Charles County. About three-quarters of a mile off the road, they spotted drywall and someone underneath. It was Deborah and someone had murdered her. Where she was found was around 40 minutes from her home.
