Murder of Frank Stanton
On June 6, 1993 around 4:30 a.m. an off duty police officer found 48-year-old Frank Stanton's body in his truck on the side of the road in the 1300 block of E. Republic Rd. in Springfield, Missouri. Frank had died from a gunshot wound to the head. It had happened possibly between 3:40 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. He was supposed to be driving to the Springfield News-Leader where he worked as a carrier.
