Murder of Marsha Caroline Johnson

25-year-old Marsha Johnson spent the night of March 31, 1996, with her three young children and husband at their home in Warnbro, West Australia, Australia. They had an early meal and Marsha put her children to bed between 6:30 and 7:00 P.M. Then the couple watched a movie and went to bed around 9:30.

At 5:30 a.m. the next morning on 1 April, Marsha's husband left their home to go to work. Marsha then dropped her young children off before going to her mother's at 9 A.M. This was the last time she was seen., but she called her mother at 12:38 later that day.

Worry didn't set in for the young mother until 4:20 P.M. when her father received a call saying Marsha never picked the children up from preschool. Her mother went to her house, but she couldn't get inside. Marsha's car was in the driveway and her purse was visible on the kitchen bench. There was no response even though things pointed to her being home.

Marsha's father and husband got to the house at about 4:45. They went into the home and found Marsha dead in the bathroom. Her cause of death wasn't stated, but it was found that she had been murdered.
