Murder of Akita Ervin

On June 10, 1992, the body of 15-year-old Akita Ervin was last seen by her mother in White Lake, Michigan. She had a history of running away. She was reported missing and her mother hoped she would return unharmed like she did the last time.

Unfortunately, she was found on June 22, 1992, her body was located in a wooded area off of Ford Road in the Highland State Recreation Area. It was only half a mile from her home. She had been dead for about two weeks. Her body was too decomposed for a cause of death, but the way she was found leads them to believe it was a homicide.
