Murder of Sandra Whitlock

On January 16, 1985, 29-year-old Sandra Whitlock was reported missing to the Reno, Nevada Police. She was last seen in downtown Reno. One newspaper states the boyfriend last saw her on Jan. 5 and claims that they were supposed to meet up after they were done gambling. She never met up with him.

On February 23, 1985, Sandra's body was pulled from the Truckee River near Painted Rock. This area is east of Reno on Interstate 80. She had been shot in the back and placed in the river. It couldn't be determined when and where she was shot.
