January 16, 2012 Washington, District of Columbia

On the night of January 15, 2012, the temperatures in Washington D.C. were freezing. Just before midnight, a man walking down Channing Street notice something small wrapped up in a brown and red striped towel on his neighbors stoop. He quickly went inside and got his father to help him. They were hoping it was a baby doll, but upon further inspection, it was a baby girl. She was bleeding from her nose and mouth. The two contacted emergency services as they tried to warm the girl up. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at 2:21 a.m. on January 16.

The infant was neonate between 1 to 12 months old and African American. She had black slightly wavy hair, she had grey spots more than likely Mongolian spots in irregular shapes on her upper back, buttocks, and left ankle.
