Murder of Pamela Lynn Conyers



On October 16, 1970, 16-year-old Pamela Conyer went to a homecoming bonfire/pep rally at the Glen Burnie High School in Glen Burnie, Maryland. At 8:30p.m. she wanted to put some finishing touches on her outfit and some shoe polish for the dance the next night. She would ask her mom for $5 and took the family's 1967 Dodge Monaco to the Harundale Mall. Pamela would make it to the mall but never made it back home.

On the 19th a man walking through the woods would find the car Pamela was driving. Inside was the shoe polish. When the car was found searches were dispatched for Pamela.  At 10:20 a.m. on October 20th discovered in a wooded area between the eastbound and westbound lanes of Maryland Route 177 that extended into Millersville, Maryland, Which was not far from the car.

Pamela was found lying on her side. She was clothed but her pullover sweater was inside out and her underwear missing. She had been sexually assualted and strangled to death.
