October 4, 1990 Garden Grove, California Jane Doe

At about 7:30 a.m. on October 4, 1990, five children walking to their school in Garden Grove, California made a gruesome discovery. They saw a large, rolled-up carpet near the sidewalk on Lewis, south of Downie across from Riverdale Elementary School. One of the children inspected the carpet and found that someone was rolled up in it. The police were soon notified.

Inside was a woman. She had been strangled to death hours before her discovery She was then wrapped up in the carpet with the carpet tied up with electrical wire and twine. Her body was then dumped where she was found.

It's believed that Jane Doe may have been an immigrant from Mexico, South America, Central America, or the Pacific South West. Investigators tried posting announcements of Jane Doe in Spanish-speaking newspapers and other outlets, but there was no lead to her identity. There is hope that newspapers from other countries will write about her and help identify her.

Information gathered makes law enforcement believe that she has connections to a man named Steve Glick.

Jane Doe is a White/Hispanic or Pacific Islander female and was between 25 to 35-years-old. She's 5'3" and 179 lbs. She has brown shoulder-length curly hair and brown eyes. Her blood type was O+, she likely gave birth at least once, two of her upper teeth were outlined with gold dental trim and several of her back teeth were missing. She was wearing a size 42 sleeveless black blouse over a pink tank top and size 34 Paloma brand, acid-washed blue jeans and was not wearing shoes. She may typically wore flip flops.
