Murders of Candice L. Fisher and Christina Brandolese

Candice Fisher             Christina Brandolese

On May 30, 1989, around 7:45 a.m. the body of 21-year-old Christina Brandolese was found at the end of a driveway in the 26000 blocks of 199th St. in rural Johnson County, Kansas.

A few days later on June 2, 1989, around 12:30 p.m. the body of 19-year-old Candice Fisher was found in a hedgerow in the 25500 blocks of W. 191st St in rural Johnson County. Their bodies were within a mile apart from each other.

They both had similar head injuries and both had been burned. Christina had her throat slashed, but because Candice was too decomposed it was unknown if her throat was also slashed. The girls did not disappear together, but it was believed that the same person is responsible for their deaths.

It had turned out both girls disappeared on May 29, 1989, from the streets of Kansas City.  Christina was last seen in the area Independence Ave. and Garfield St. in Kansas City, Missouri. Later that day Candice was last seen in the area of 37th St. and Main St. in Kansas City.

They were both going through a rough patch in their lives. At this time they were both hooked on drugs and were prostitutes in the area.
