May 29, 1983 Columbia, South Carolina John Doe


On May 29, 1983, the body of a man was found on a creek bank on the property of South Carolina State Hospital near Colonial Drive and Harden Street Extension in Columbia South Carolina. His cause and manner of death were undetermined. He had been dead between 10 and 14 days. 

He was a black male between 45 and 60 years old. He was 6'0" and 185 lbs. He had black and grey hair that was slightly balding. He had a healed depressed skull fracture on the right forehead. He possibly had a scar in the area associated with it. He was wearing a white undershirt, black cotton pants, and black leather shoes. There was a white button-up shirt with grey pinstripes downstream.
