Murder of Brian Duane Hill



Around 10:13 p.m. on May 19, 1994 officers responded to a shooting in the area of 6435 N Gay Ave. in Portland Oregon. When they arrived they found 26-year-old Brian Duane Hill. He was still alive and transported to the hospital. He got treatment for the gunshot wounds but died on June 14, 1994, due to his injuries.

Witnesses claimed seeing an African American man in his late 20's about 6'0" with a slender build. He was wearing dark pants and a dark sweatshirt with the hood up. He was running from the area of the shooting after shots were fired. He ran southbound on Omaha from Portland Boulevard and got into a vehicle. The vehicle was a 1985 to 1988 four-door Ford Tempo silver or grey in color.

There were three other people in the vehicle described as being African American males in their twenties. Witnesses saw the vehicle without lights on was seen backing down northbound lanes of N. Omaha and then did a 180 and headed Southbound lanes of N. Omaha with their lights now on.
