Disappearance of Tommy Richey

16-year-old Thomas "Tommy" Richey left home to go fishing on July 11, 1950. He went to his favorite fishing area on the Rogue River in Prospect, Oregon. The area had a cable car he would use to move to the middle and fish from above. His fishing pole and a few fish were found in the car, but he was not. It's likely he fell or jumped into the river and drowned as the car was still sitting over the river.

Coincidentally Tommy's mother's first Husband and his older 1/2 brother who was 6 at the time drowned in the Rogue River in 1930.

Tommy is a white male and was 16 at the time. He was 5'9" to 5'10" and 160 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He wore prescription glasses.
