On September 7, 1990, 31-year-old Nancy Valentin was working at the Rose's Family Restaurant on 595 South Main St. in Stratford, Connecticut. Around 10:45 p.m. Nancy just left work. It's believed a man tried to grab her purse and in the struggle shot her. He then stood over her and .32-caliber to her ear and fired again. She was soon found on the ground bleeding in the parking lot. She arrived shortly after arriving at the hospital.
Witnesses recalled a two-toned car that was tan on top and darker on bottom parked behind the restaurant. Her pocketbook was stolen.
