On Saturday, November 29, 1980, 38-year-old Faye Dollar put her two children one 4-years-old and one 9-years-old to bed. She had told them both goodnight. The two noticed she was wearing a red dress before they went to sleep. The next morning Faye was nowhere and her 1972 gold Monte Carlo was missing. The two kids would then call their father and Faye's ex-husband, Donald Dollar.
By Monday Faye was still nowhere in sight. She did not show up at Feldwood high school in College Park where she worked as a math teacher. This was unusual for her to call in sick let alone to not show up and without reason.
On December 1, 1980, Faye was reported missing by her family. On December 4th her car would be found in the parking lot of Admiral Benson Inn in Atlanta, Georgia. In the trunk of the car, Faye was curled up and nude. She was wearing a gold necklace. She had been struck behind the ear.
Faye was not registered at the Inn and the hotel believed that car was not there earlier in the day.
