Murder of Lorraine Zimmerman

On the day of April 5, 1984, 15-year-old Lorriane Zimmerman and her family moved into their new home in Hagerstown, Maryland. The next morning her mother sent her to school at South Hagerstown High School in a taxi. On her way home from school, she stopped at a friend's home for 10 minutes before she left. She was never seen alive again.

On April 14, 1984, two people walking in a wooded area off of Reno Monument Road about 3.6 miles south of Boonsboro found her body. She had been covered in cardboard and leaves. She was partially dressed and was beaten and strangled to death.

Her next birthday was later that month.
