October 20, 1975 Woodside, California John Doe

Between October 13 and October 19 in 1975 a hiker found the skeletal remains of a child while hiking in Huddart Park in San Mateo County, California.  His body was found 300 yards up a steep and heavily wooded gully west of King Mountain road about 1/4 mile south of the park entrance. Because of the location, it took until the 20th to recover it.   It's believed that he had been dead 1 to 3 years. Cause of death was a skull fracture and it's believed his body was dumped there. He may have come from a migrant family working for a seasonal harvest.

He was a white male between 9 to 12 years old. He was around 4'10" and weight couldn't be determined. He was wearing brown hiking boots and a dark blue sweater jacket with snaps were found near the body, and a wooden cross was found in the area. He had significant tooth decay and no previous dental care or poor dental care.
