Murder of Muhammad Abu-Baker


On the night of October 17, 2015 57-year-old Muhammad Abu-Baker purchased something from WalMart and then boarded a public bus alone at Shaffer and Broad Streets in Richmond, Virginia. He then got onto another bus at a Transfer Station at 9th st. around 9:06 p.m. and then got off the bus at 9:19 at East Ladies Mile Rd. and Hazelhurst Ave. a short walk from his apartment. Soon after there were reports of gunfire. Somebody had shot him multiple times on Hunt Ave. There were no witnesses to the crime.

There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of this murder.
