On the night of October 17, 1994, 35-year-old Kathi Goff Kennedy was home in the Kernersville, North Carolina Springbrook complex with her two daughters. Her husband was on a fishing trip. It's believed that Kathi opened the door for someone and they attacked her. As there was no sign of breaking in. The attack likely happened between 9 to 9:30 p.m. when a neighbor heard a shor
It was the girls who found their mother. The next day Kathi's mother went to go check on her and came into the home to find her granddaughters unharmed, but Kathi was dead. Kathi had been beaten and stabbed multiple times.
There is up to a $5,000 reward for the tip that leads to a conviction for the murder.
