On the night of October 5, 1968, 15/16-year-old Christine Hurlburt attended a dance at the Moutain Park Ballroom in Holyoke, Massachusetts. She was last seen walking down the access road to the Dancehall. The next day she was reported missing by her parents.
On October 12, 1968, during a search for her her father found her body. She was found in the underbrush near the dancehall. A sweater was wrapped around her neck and she had been strangled to death.
