Mandela Effect



False Memory is when someone remembers something wrong. Examples of a single false memory is like witnesses to crimes, believing your Grandmother's birthday was a different day, You swore your best friend had a pair of neon Nike's, etc. It is due to once a memory being manipulated or altered.

The Mandela effect is when a group of people experience this altered memory. The term was coined by Fiona Broom a self-defined paranormal consultant on her website. The reason she termed as the Mandela effect was after South African human rights activist and President Nelson Mandela. She had the memory that Mandela died in the '80s in prison and found may people thought it too. In reality, Mandela died in 2013 from a respiratory tract infection.

One of the most quoted examples of these is "Luke. I am your father," said Darth Vadar. This memorable line was never said though. What he actually said in response to Luke claiming that Darth Vadar killed his father was "No. I am your father." This could be a misquote of the movie. If you don't believe it then watch this clip.

Many people remember the beloved bear family that taught us life lessons as children. They remember the Berenstein Bears is what they were called. In reality, the name of that lovable bear family is Berenstain Bears and it shocks those who think otherwise who believed it was the Berenstein Bears they grew up with.

Shazaam is another popular one. Many people claim that in the 90's they watched a movie called Shazaam staring Sinbad a stand-up comedian and actor. He played a Genie that helped a couple of children out. People claim that it was close to Shaq's Kazaam even claiming they thought it was a copycat of Shazaam. In reality, Shazaam never existed, and Sinbad never played a genie.

Some believe it's a glitch in the matrix. That there is some alternate universe and you are remembering that you's memory. It could also be that something a erased it from the universe and that it somehow messed up.
